About JW Fencing and Landscaping

J.W Fencing and Landscaping have many years of experience. We have supplied many happy customers with the garden of their dreams, the driveway of their desires and much more. Our reputation is second to none.

We recommend the best products and suppliers to ensure that should an issue arise from the materials, we are in a better place to assist with resolutions and provide continuity of supply.

We strive to ensure that all of our jobs are completed to the highest standard, no matter how big or small the job. We will take the time and care to ensure that we are able to visualise your dream garden. By the time that we are finished, you’ll hopefully have a garden that’s everything you wanted and more.

We are located in the Bournemouth area, but our landscaping services include Poole, Blandford Forum, Wimborne, Horton, Ringwood, Verwood and Christchurch. You can also see examples of previous work in the gallery.

Our Approach and process

Once an initial enquiry has been received, we will make an appointment to visit you at home or at the property where the work is required, at a time to suit you. Once onsite we will listen to what you’re looking to achieve and discuss with you any areas of concern, such as drainage, retaining walls, neighbouring properties, regulatory restrictions we are aware of, or unstable substrates.

Our quotations are based on those discussions and are detailed in the quote,. We don’t simply say it will be X pounds (or thousands as is more often the case,) with no discussion about materials, edging or areas of concern. So before we start you know there will be no sharp intakes of breath and the words, “sorry that will be extra as it’s not in your quo.te”

We also discuss your various options and materials we are able to offer in case there are products available that may suit your needs better that you hadn’t considered,

We are happy to organise for you to view our work at nearby customers, organise samples and discuss your plans with neighbours or family should you wish,. All we ask from you, is a commitment that you are happy to proceed with us once the I’s are dotted and the T’s crossed.

During the construction there are often two or more ways to address issues, such as; difference in heights,  and the question of how to overcome these eg steps, sloped pathway, etc. Our approach is to discuss these issues with you as they arise and not simply make a decision on what is the simplest for us. It is this involvement that we call taking you on the journey with us.

As for payments, we generally take around 30% as a deposit, and dependant on the complexity and time scale, an interim payment, with the balance due immediately upon completion, Details about payments and guarantees can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

Working Practice

Out of respect we try to minimise the disruption to  the customer, although a certain amount of dust and disruption is inevitable.

Our staff, like most other construction workers, do like the radio on, and we insist it is not too loud. We try to separate our waste, and clear as we work where possible, but general rubbish such as pallet binding, plastic and paper packaging, etc are usually removed at the end of a project. Once finished everything is cleared and washed down.

On-Site Consultations

Our aim is to involve the customer in the journey. Our staff are usually aware of the project in it’s entirety and are happy to discuss any issues or concerns with you, However, all alterations or additions to the plan should only be agreed with a senior member or your representative.

The Finishing

Touches

The difference between a good job and a great job are often the fine details on how things are finished, Whilst we take pride in our work and try to finish things to a high standard, sometimes the customer may prefer some slight changes. We encourage customers to raise these as soon as possible so we can make alterations and produce a job that they are proud of.
